Prior to launching consciousfork℠, I was an enthusiastic member of the "rat race." While I was enjoying a successful career in TV Advertising Sales, the long hours, travel and stressful lifestyle was taking a toll on my health and well-being. Years ago, a colleague at Sundance introduced me to a juice retreat which ended up changing my life forever. After one week, I felt rested, rejuvenated, recharged and ready to return to my busy life. That vital experience was the first step on my path toward consciousfork℠ and ultimately, walking away from my corporate life to create my own way. I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition which armed me with a certification in health counseling and an understanding of the fundamentals of holistic health and dietary theories. I spent the two years after I left Manhattan on 3 road trips across the US, visting countless veggie eateries, attending phish shows, doing some business consulting, crafting my vision and connecting with "like minded" people -- all of which gave me inspiration to start this company.
I have been a vegetarian since the age of 10 and have spent most of my life ordering "off the menu" at some of the finest restaurants in the country. I love to dine out - and feel there should be more emphasis on the mighty vegetable. Offering clean plant-based food that is delicious, innovative, nourishing, and accessible to our community is an honor and a wonderful way to connect so many of the things I am passionate about.
It is my hope that we can grow consciousfork℠ into a recognized lifestlye brand that is socailly and environmentally impactful and far-reaching.
